March 2011 Banlist Prediction

A week again, the new banlist will be posted. Everyone must be so excited waiting it. Well, today, I will discuss some cards that may probably be on the list or off the list. Remember, please do take this post as a grain of salt. This is just a speculation, and I am not a seer too.

I will not post all possible cards, but I will post cards that possess the great probability to be in the list

This is a speculation about cards that will be forbidden:
1. Cold Wave: this old card seems to be so notorious since Cat Synchro era. Its ability to lock your opponent's further movement to turn the table is amazing enough to secure yourself as a victory on that duel. Moreover, players who active Cold Wave will spawn their own field with their best monster. I think it is much better to get hit by Heavy Storm since Heavy is a form of "punishment" to a player who carelessly put a lot of cards in their field.

2. Monster Reborn: again, another old card... This card is so wonderful enough to recover your position. You can special summon a monster not only from your grave, but also from your opponent's graveyard.

Limited guys:
1. Dandylion / Debris Dragon / Lonefire Blossom: these 3 guys allow you to perform multiple synchro summon in a single turn. The worst thing is your opponents will summon Black Rose Dragon several times to clear the field. That's not the end, they can still launch their combo to fill their field again via cards such as Glow Up Bulb or Spore (another synchro summon again). I am sure some of these guys will be on the list.

2. Heavy Storm: a mild version of Cold Wave. Remember, this card is less dangerous than Cold Wave because you can still chain your Starlight Road to negate this guy.

3. BW Blizzard the Far North: Instant level 6 monster. Just normal summon it, snatch its friend from the graveyard, and perform synchro summon.

Semi Limited guys:
1. Gateway to the Six: only to reduce the probability of 6Sam deck to reach this card in the first draw. Remember, this card is so broken due to its effect to allow players to add more and more cards to their hand as long as they can increase their bushido counter.

2. GK Recruiter: Goblin Zombie version for Grave Keeper's deck. Just a simple analogy, since Goblin Zombie had been semi limited before, this card is also possible to be semi-limited.

Will be out of the list:
Snipe Hunter, Ultimate Offering, and Dewloren the Tiger Prince -> who uses this card right now???

Here, I will post also cards which may be out of the forbidden status that are discussed in the Yugioh Indonesia forum.
1. Tsukuyomi: many duelists believe this card will be limited.
PROS: nowadays, decks are able to fill their field quickly. Tsukuyomi seems can't do anything to recover this. In addition, Tsukuyomi's friend to launch her combo, such as Mask of Darkness with Time Seal, or Magician of Faith with a certain Spell Card are also forbidden. Returning her to be limited seems not to be a big problem.
CONS: I just imagine what will happen to GB if this card is limited. Yes, it is a free Book of Moon. I you have already prepared a Secutor on your field, then you will need to summon this card. Your opponent's monsters will be turned to be face down position and 2 new GB will hit on the field.
2. Tribe Infecting Virus:
PROS: this card appears as a "punishment" to players who are not able to finish their opponents of after spamming tons of monsters on the field (same with Dark Hole, which punish your opponents if they can't performing OTK after summoning a lot of monsters).
CONS: this card can be a pain in the ass for single-type decks, such as Blackwings, Six Samurai, or Grave Keeper's. At the cost of 1 card, you will be able to clear the field after declaring one type of a monster card.
3. Metamorphosis:
PROS: this card seems to be less effective in this format since there is a limitation for Extra Deck (15 cards only). As a result, players will become so picky because they need to choose cards that will be really helpful. In addition, Thousand Eyes Restrict is also still forbidden, so this card's main combo is still unable to be run.
CONS: Demise OTK ...

Okay, that's for today. I won't post all possible cards, but just cards that are quite strange or possess the greatest threat to be on the list.

CapCus...
