How to Get Rid of Six Samurai

As we know, that new deck are really intimidating right now. It skills to fill their field and hand is really irritating.

Here are some examples that can be used to counter those decks:

1. The best way to slow the down is by using Solemn brothers (in this case, you have to get the first turn. make sure you cancel Kageki from being summoned). The most important is to block them from summoning the very first monster. Gateway and United are annoying, but they are useful if your opponent is able to summon a samurai monster first (they can add more counters). Otherwise, they are not so controlling.

2. If you get the second turn, it's a bit hard because your opponent will synchro Shi En to secure the field. As a result, you will need at least 2 cards to shut it up.
Cards like Warrior Elimination, Dark Hole or Fossil Dyna is good enough to clear the whole field, but please be aware that they can counter it by using Magatama Musakani.

3. Thunder King is also useful enough to prevent them from adding more cards to the field or summoning Shi En.

4. Ojama Trio? Yes, it is good. Summoning 3 Ojama Tokens in your opponent's field can lock their choice off. As a result they can only summon 2 monsters only. If you play GB, you will also get advantage, why? Yes, you can get 3 attacks for free because Ojama tokens are placed in DEF position

5. Another choice is Kinetic Soldier. Having an ability to gain additional attack boost if it battles a warrior type monster is good enough to eliminate Shi En, then you can launch cards that has ability to destroy monsters such as Warrior Elimination.

6. Gozen Match. Since Six Sam play a lot of different attribute, they may have a problem to decide which attribute should be kept in their field.

7. Trap Dustshoot. Believe it or not. Though most player underrate this card due to the banning of Heavy Storm, this card is so awesome if you grab it in a very first turn. You can seize your opponent's movement and return the most crucial monster in their hand to the deck.

Okay, I think that's all for today. See you next time

  1. hmm, for number 7 i can sometimes agree, but i can disagree too. rmb, six sam has its own R.O.T.A. so i think getting raioh on the 1st turn would be best as if u use trapdustshoot while they have 2 shien smoke signal, it wont be so useful. of course trap dustshoot + raioh = 70% chance to win

  2. Well, thx for the reply and attention before. Six Sam is a difficult new deck to be beaten because it has a complete support, start from draw engine, searcher, and also revival cards.

I think having Rai Oh in the first turn will be the best way to lock all of 6Sams further movement since 6Sams players will no more be able to add more cards to their hand or performing synchro summon.

However, consider if we get the 2nd turn. They will be able to fill their field up and secure their field by using Shi En. I have considered several times and only find that the only way to get rid of them is by spending at least 2 cards (for example: Dark Hole and Warrior of Elimination, Kinetic Soldier and Dark Hole / Warrior Elimination) because Shi En can negate the first card that we are going to use
